PURPOSE
The Organizational Change Manager - Transformation plays a critical role in leading Sylvamo’s strategy and design of an organizational change management culture embedded across the company, beginning with our digital transformation area. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth adoption of new technologies, processes, and systems across our operations. The change manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement change management strategies that minimize resistance and maximize employee engagement, adoption and ongoing sustain of implementations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Strategy and Planning:
Drive Sylvamo’s strategy and proposed design for internal organizational change management culture and an enterprise strategy for a change center of excellence or change management office.
Develop and execute comprehensive change strategies and plans for digital transformation initiatives.
Establish best practices for organizational change management including actionable procedures such as communications plans, sponsor roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, resistance management plans.
Conduct impact assessments to understand the effects of changes on various stakeholders and organizational units.
Consider change impacts at global, regional, functional, and mill levels including union resources, as applicable.
Identify key stakeholders and develop a stakeholder engagement plan to ensure their involvement and support throughout the digital transformation change management process.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with third-party experts in the change management space to apply best practices across initiatives.
Enable change management efforts by working with human resources, corporate communications, innovation, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth adoption of digital transformation initiatives.
Develop and deliver clear, concise, and effective communication plans and materials to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Work with mill and functional teams to drive plans for change-related content such as newsletters, presentations, and FAQs.
Engage translation support as required to ensure messaging reaches teams across regions.
Act as a point of contact for change-related inquiries and issues.
Training and Support:
Collaborate with training teams and learning leaders to identify training needs and develop training programs.
Provide support to mill and functional leadership in coaching people leaders to help them manage resistance within their teams.
Identify potential resistance to change and develop strategies to address and mitigate it.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees, managers, and other stakeholders throughout the change process.
Monitoring and Improvement:
Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of change management efforts and the adoption of new processes and technologies.
Monitor and report on progress, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Gather feedback on the change management process and use it to continuously improve strategies and approaches.
Stay current with industry best practices and trends in change management and digital transformation.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum of 7 years of experience required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, marketing, communications, or related field
Prior change management expérience
Change management certification, required
Prior management of third party resources, preferred
Union environment experience, preferred
Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies
Strong marketing and presentation development skills
Digital transformation change experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to balance multiple requests and know when to ask for assistance
Highly organized and self-starter
General understanding of IT space
