WorkSource Oregon Maintenance Worker 3 - Grounds Mechanic in SALEM, Oregon
PURPOSE To improve student achievement by performing a variety of advanced journey level skilled work in the maintenance, construction and repair of buildings and equipment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and service all grounds equipment to be ready for use before the season starts. Equipment is to be serviced during the season as necessary. Repair equipment as it breaks down when in use. Maintain and service emergency generators in the District. Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies for repairs and service. Maintain workshop in neat and orderly fashion. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR THE FOLLOWING: Landscaping equipment including line trimmers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, pole saws, chainsaws, and edgers Turf equipment including commercial mowers (up to 16\'), walk behind mowers, sod cutters, aeration equipment, spreaders, and sprayers Synthetic Turf equipment Grounds Construction equipment including Bobcat and Bobcat implements, tractors (60hp) and tractor implements Various diesel and gas 2 and 4 stroke engines Electrical and Hydraulic systems related to all equipment Power generators both diesel and natural gas (Up to 250 KW) Have welding skills and fabrication skills.
