Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for an HR Leave of Absence & Disabilities Specialist in SALEM, Oregon. This role exists within the non-profit sector and is crucial for managing and communicating the details of employee accommodations and leaves of absences in accordance with agency policies and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and guide the process for leave and accommodation requests from employees and supervisors.

• Advise HR, managers, and employees on the coordination of leave laws with workers' compensation, paid time off, and other benefits.

• Oversee the Disabilities Accommodation Request process and engage in Interactive Dialogue with staff and managers.

• Identify leave obligations in relation to disability time-off and workers' compensation cases and manage the related documentation and communication.

• Maintain accurate timesheet data and handle necessary transactions for employment and payroll records.

• Run reports to determine eligibility for leave and provide various options to the employee such as block leaves, intermittent leaves (during flare-ups), schedule or shift changes, or part-time schedules.

• Distribute required notices, forms, and letters to staff in accordance with policies and HR processes.

• Track leave dates, leave schedules, medical documents, and ongoing conversations with employees throughout the leave process, ensuring complete documentation.

• Work closely with the Benefits Specialist to ensure accurate benefit payments and timely out-of-pocket premium payment plans.

• Supervise the Return-to-Work process, ensuring management reviews release restrictions prior to an employee's return.

• Proactively provide leave information to employees who may have experience in a leave, supporting employees experiencing an event.

Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, demonstrating an ability to manage financial aspects related to leave and disability benefits

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, showing familiarity with various HR processes and workflows

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, indicating a strong technical background

• Expertise in using Ceridian for HR management, specifically in the context of leave and disability benefits

• CRM skills, showcasing the ability to manage relationships with employees and other stakeholders

• Auditing experience, demonstrating an ability to review and ensure the accuracy of leave and disability records

• Familiarity with various benefit functions, especially in relation to leave of absence and disability benefits

• Excellent communication skills, showing the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to all stakeholders

• Strong compliance knowledge, demonstrating an understanding of the laws and regulations related to leave of absence and disability benefits. TalentMatch®
