Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent General Laborer to join our team. The role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning totes, printing labels, moving barrels, and general sanitation duties. This position requires physical labor and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Clean totes and barrels.
Print labels and ensure they are correctly applied.
Move barrels and other heavy objects as required.
Operate production assets safely and follow established procedures.
Perform daily production tasks, including preventative maintenance and process data collection.
Report safety, quality, or other issues to the Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
Issue Corrective Action Reports (CAR) or Hazard reports when necessary.
Provide progress updates and attend meetings.
Investigate HSE or quality issues and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
Clean portable tanks and equipment using cleaning tools and chemicals.
Operate the automated tank washer machine.
Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Operate a forklift and assist in obtaining materials for production.
Ensure proper disposal or reconditioning of empty containers.
Maintain storage of materials and assist fill-off operators.
Perform daily forklift inspections and assist in obtaining materials for production.
Fill completed products into containers, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Measure and weigh products accurately and check for leaks.
Complete batch tickets and send containers to the shipping department.
Add raw materials in the specified order and coordinate sample testing with QC.
Maintain housekeeping standards and assist in other tasks as needed.
Operate machine controls, set up and break down the mill, and understand color development.
Essential Skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50lbs consistently and up to 75lbs.
Experience in manual labor and sanitation.
Forklift experience.
Pallet jack experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to operate production assets safely and follow established procedures.
Experience in issuing Corrective Action Reports (CAR) or Hazard reports.
Capability to provide progress updates and attend meetings.
Experience in investigating HSE or quality issues and participating in Continuous Improvement activities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SALEM, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.37 - $20.37/hr.
