State of Massachusetts Program Coordinator in Salem, Massachusetts

Overview: * The Office of Student Involvement and Operations is seeking a passionate program coordinator to spearhead our mission of fostering vibrant student engagement. The program coordinator oversees a diverse range of programs and activities aimed at fostering social engagement, promoting diversity, and enhancing educational experiences. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in promoting student engagement and supporting programs that drive the growth of our campus community. By working closely with the Program Council, Greek life, and various on-campus leaders, you play a key role in creating a vibrant and inclusive campus environment. From managing program development and finances to providing mentorship and guidance to student leaders, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * Two or more years of directly related experience in student activities programming, Greek Life, advising of student organizations - This may include experience at the graduate level * Knowledge of legal and contractual obligations related to event planning and coordination of student activities Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in HESA or a related field * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and respond to unexpected needs that arise in program planning and implementation * Familiarity with student success tools such as Navigate or similar platforms * Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Working Conditions: * This is an on-site, in-person position with on-campus, in-person responsibilities in Salem, MA which requires a flexible schedule and occasional work on evenings and weekends. Office activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and interaction with computer equipment; occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 5-10 pounds.
