    This position is responsible for providing excellent administrative support for all leaders in assigned business unit(s). Examples of administrative functions include but are not limited to creating and maintaining labor schedules, preparing documents/reports/presentations, maintaining digital databases and paper filing systems, scheduling training and other events, ordering tools and supplies, documenting accurate meeting notes, etc.

    About the Job

  • Enter data into various systems and prepare reports for business unit needs (WFM, Dakota, EAM, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, etc.).

  • Prepare and publish weekly labor schedules. Fill and backfill open shifts in a 24/7 plant in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement parameters.

  • Assist with safety incident documentation and the coordination of learning teams.

  • Track attendance, schedule discipline meetings between leaders and employees, and submit required documentation to HR in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate, schedule, and track training activities for all employees in assigned area(s).

  • Respond to requests for information from other departments/business units.

  • Support operational excellence pillar teams through active involvement and engagement which includes but is not limited to scheduling and attending pillar team meetings, maintaining meeting notes and action lists, sending follow-up requests, compiling communications, and documentation, and developing scorecards.

  • Retrieving mail and packages from other plant locations and distributing to applicable team members.

  • Research sample issues and follow up with Supply Chain and/or Lab on findings.

  • Performing other responsibilities as requested by leadership.

    Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education a plus.

  • Experience: At least two years of relevant administrative experience in manufacturing environment required.

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of standard office administration procedures and techniques, accurate spelling/grammar/punctuation, and basic arithmetic.

  • Skills: Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, basic proficiency in timekeeping systems. Strong organizational skills and effective communication skills required.

  • Abilities: Proven ability to quickly learn new technology in a self-directed manner. Ability to work independently with minimal daily direct supervision. Ability to understand process flows.
