Must have the following in order to apply:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and swim lesson instructor certifications

Job Description: This position provides leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Instructing students in swimming and/or exercise fundamentals.
• Ensures techniques and use of equipment
• We teach classes ranging from Parent/Child through Adult.
• Instruct and observe participants in stroke techniques, to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child.
