Job Description
Designs data streaming/replication topologies. Support, tunes and monitors operational data streaming/replication topologies to ensure data is in-sync and data latency SLA’s are met. Works across functional teams to ensure data is sourced from right place using the right data movement technology. Develop internal tools to facilitate the creation, deployment and monitoring of data replication through automation. Maintains business SLA, compliance patch levels, security and operational guidelines for SOC auditing, practices SOP, incident management, and license compliance. Uses customer centric approaches for choosing course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
Aligns communication, accountability, resources & processes to ensure strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results. Tenaciously works to deliver team goals with the greatest potential for producing positive business results. Ensures that team continually works on resolving systematic issues in the environment and improving stability, automation and monitoring of systems. Participate as part of weekly on-call rotation with other team members.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related.
Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in Database Administration, database programming, data engineering, or related. Two (2) years of experience with Oracle and/or SQL
Server and RedShift. Two (2) years of experience with GoldenGate and/or HVR and/or DMS. Must include: Designing and supporting data streaming and replication in a large multidatabase platform environment; Using scripting languages: Bash, Powershell, SQL and/or Python; and Creating and maintaining streaming and replication pipelines.
