Brown & Caldwell Water/Wastewater Sr. Project Manager in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description Brown and Caldwell is seeking an engineer with experience managing and executing water and wastewater projects in our Midwest Area. In this role, you will utilize your design and project management expertise to deliver high quality projects and develop strong client relationships. Specific work can include facility planning, design, regulatory compliance, field investigations, report writing construction engineering and other tasks on current and future projects in St. Paul, MN and across the Midwest Area. Client service and support for marketing and proposals will also be included in this role. This position will be based out of our office in St. Paul, MN. Detailed Description: Manage and execute work for water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment facilities. Manage all phases of project delivery including planning, design, and construction. Effectively manage project resources to meet or exceed scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Apply engineering analyses and calculations to support design decisions. Lead multi-disciplinary design teams, providing overall project management and design coordination. Interface directly with clients to understand and meet project needs and expectations. Develop and execute effective quality assurance and quality control programs Apply experience and technical expertise in problem solving and decision making, resulting in the best solutions for our clients. Prepare and make presentations for clients and public meetings Provide coaching and mentoring of junior staff Utilize internal project management tools and resources. Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve design production and efficiency Lead business development pursuits related to water and wastewater opportunities Desired Skills and Experience: B.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental etc.) required M.S. degree in related engineering field with a focus on wastewater and water treatment facilities, preferred but not required Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater engineering and consulting required PE in Minnesota, or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within 6 months Strong understanding of engineering principles related to water/wastewater distribution, conveyance, and treatment Strong project management skills Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation Valid driver's license and good driving record is required Ability to successfully manage clients and projects in a collaborative fashion and interface with Brown and Caldwell's local, regional, and national technical staff as well as help mentor junior staff Strong Microsoft Office skills required, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
