The ideal location for this leader is Minneapolis, MN, but we will also consider remote candidates. The travel expectation is approximately 30- 50%. Responsibilities: + Strategic EHS Leadership – Develop and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with company goals, leveraging best practices and industry standards. Sponsor the Safety and Environment Pillars as part of the Schwan’s Performance System, driving continuous improvement to improve EHS performance across all operations including a network which includes 18 Factories, 8 DC’s (4 warehouses, 4 DSD depots) + People Leadership : Build and Lead a high performing EHS team. Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where employees are empowered to prioritize safe operation in all aspects of their work. + Safety Compliance and Regulation : Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure full compliance across all areas of operation. Establish robust processes and systems to monitor, evaluate, and mitigate safety risks effectively. + Innovation and Technology Integration : Champion the integration of innovative technologies and practices to enhance safety performance and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cutting-edge solutions. + Risk Management and Incident Response : Develop proactive risk management strategies to anticipate and mitigate potential safety hazards. Lead incident response efforts with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement. + Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry partners, and customers. Collaborate effectively to drive collective EHS objectives and promote industry-wide best practices. + Mission-Driven Culture: Inspire and motivate employees at all levels to embrace safety as a core value and integral part of our mission. Communicate the importance of safety with clarity and conviction, fostering a shared commitment to excellence. + Key member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) leadership team. Help drive the overall GSC E2E Supply Chain agenda as part of the GSC leadership team. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in safety management, or related field; advanced degree preferred. + Proven track record of leadership in Environmental, Health and Safety with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience + Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable strategies. + Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, empower, and development of high performing teams. + Strategic thinker with agility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex challenges with resilience and creativity. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
