Center for Energy and Environment Quality Assurance Manager in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description Quality Assurance Manager The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance inspections for the residential department of the Center for Energy and Environment. This includes: management and coordination of site visits for inspections; management of relations with contractors and homeowners; reporting of all activity to funders; providing feedback to staff and contractors about performance in a timely and professional manner. This position works closely with other Management and staff of the Residential Department to achieve overall department goals and requires working both at site visits and office. This is a management level position that reports to the HES Field Operations Manager. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a quality assurance protocols for the department Train Sr. field staff on quality assurance inspection protocols and procedures Coordinate communication with contractors and customers about issues and/or change orders, and track failed inspections and re-work for various programs Effectively communicate with clients and contractors to achieve quality home performance work across programs Coordinate all activities for quality assurance services Supervise Sr. staff performing energy audits and quality assurance inspections Develop and maintain program tracking systems Refine and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures Develop feedback loop for inspection staff development and growth Work closely with residential management team to communicate opportunities for program quality improvement including contractor development Set up a process and train others to review energy auditor scopes of work (SOWs) to ensure SOWs are accurate and meeting the needs of customers and contractors Develop and maintain contractor relationships and recruit new contractors for CEE programs Perform site inspections including, blower door tests, IR image scans, combustion safety diagnostics, and visual inspections of contractor work Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures, attend trainings as requested and read corporate wide emails and correspondence. Other duties as assigned or apparent. Qualifications/Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related experience and education Experience interacting with clients and contractors in person and by phone, and organizing and prioritizing work tasks Three (3) years of combined experience working in energy efficiency and performing site diagnostic activities for residential energy programs Experience conducting contractor communication and/or training Working knowledge of building science principles as related to residential buildings Supervisory and staff training experience Proven ability to work with Microsoft Office suite of products Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work independently Ability to deliver a high level of customer service Hold (or ability to quickly obtain) BPI Building Analyst--Technician or Professional, Energy Auditor, or Quality Control Inspector certification. Ability to proctor BPI exams. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Program/project management experience Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record Compensation Dependent upon qualifications and experience, the salary range is expected to be between $70-$75K.
