Essential Duties Represents the QA Team on the requests for Quality Assurance and testing needs in the platform. Delegates work to the team accordingly. Provide governance, oversight, and leadership on all QA tasks and processes. Serves as the subject matter expert for the Quality assurance and testing strategy, execution, and reporting. Supervise, direct, and review the testing efforts of team members and provide constructive feedback Mentor and train personnel on QA skills, methodologies, metric delivery, and SunStream best practices to effectively test applications. Participate in hiring process for open QA positions. Help build and define the QA strategy with leadership for the organization Advocate for innovation and working smarter not harder across the QA practice. Qualifications Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and consult effectively with employees at all levels, both technical and not technical. Strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and re- prioritize, when necessary. Effective organization and time management skills Ability to see big picture and understand goals of the business to facilitate best solutions in our application development efforts. Strong knowledge of Agile development and testing practices A desire to want to be better and help the team be better. Strong desire to learn and stay abreast of QA strategies and trends in the industry Technical Skills SME knowledge of ADO Test Plan or other test planning and defect tracking tools Expert knowledge of Testing strategies, including but not limited to manual, automation, integration, regression and performance and load testing Strong understanding of monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine quality of development projects Education/Certifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar work experience in a computer related field preferred Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing field Minimum of 3 years of managing and leading a Quality Assurance and Test team. Experience with co-sourcing and working with offshore testing teams Experience building and grooming SDETs from a QA perspective a plus. Experience writing and delivering code for an organization from either a QA or engineering perspective Leadership High level of emotional maturity that can react appropriately in difficult situations Ability to understand your audience and impact or influence a diverse population Excellent communications skills to convey information accurately and at detailed level to provide clarity to management, team members, or customers on topic Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts among team members Escalate concerns/risks to leadership in a timely and action-oriented manner.
