Job Title: Medical Assembler

1st shift M - Th 4am - 2:30pm $19

2nd shift M - Th 2:30pm - 12:30am $19.53

Job Description

This position requires you to gown up in a smock, booties, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and eye glasses. Your primary responsibility will involve using coil winding machines to wrap coils around spindles for medical assembly processes. You will need to inspect and manipulate wires with microscopes, make medical products such as stints, catheters, and leads, and be comfortable alternating between sitting and standing throughout your shift. You will also have opportunities for cross-training in various other assembly areas.

Responsibilities

  • Operate coil winding machines and wrap coils around spindles.

  • Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes.

  • Build medical components and parts following written work instructions.

  • Sit or stand for up to 8 hours a day as required by the task.

  • Use small hand tools and machines to aid with assemblies.

  • Inspect and deburr parts in the molding area using tools such as pliers, filers, and knives.

  • Perform assemblies in the CEA Assembly areas using microscopes and hand tools.

  • Work with laser welding machines to weld and finish small medical components.

  • Operate automated presses and stamping machines in the Implantable Housings area.

  • Ensure all parts are correctly made, inspected, deburred, and filed down if necessary.

Essential Skills

  • 4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or working with small parts.

  • 4-6+ months of experience using microscopes.

  • Experience in cleanroom environments.

  • Experience with assembly processes, including catheter and laser welding.

  • Ability to work with small hand tools under and without microscopes.
