Kimley-Horn Aviation Civil Engineer in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Overview
Kimley-Horn's Twin Cities office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction.
Manage project tasks, develop plans and specifications, observe construction operations, and coordinate work with other team members.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering technicians.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects.
Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulations in all project activities.
Maintain quality plans along with checking the work of others.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
3+ years of general civil, land development, municipal or aviation engineering design experience.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating.
Familiarity with pavement design.
Familiarity with construction methods, materials and techniques.
Strong desire and passion to work as part of a team to develop solutions for our client’s needs.
Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience.
Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
