Job Summary
The Warehouse Team Member I is primarily responsible for performing material handling, storage management, and shipment preparation in the warehouse.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions
- Safely operate forklift and stand up, utilizing skills obtained through continuous training and safety courses
- Understand and operate barcode scanner for material transfers
- Sort incoming materials manually or with a pallet jack
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Stock materials in an orderly manner according to guidelines for safety, accuracy, and FIFO
- Rotate stock as required when performing moves, replenishments, and counts
- Attend daily production meetings
- Interface with team members across the facility in a positive manner
- Manage daily tasks and work load in absence of Materials Manager
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications to Succeed
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in warehouse environment preferred
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with and take direction from others
Equipment Operated
Forklift
Stand up
Manual and electric pallet jack
Hand truck
Hand-held scanner with voice picking software
Utility knife, box opener, tape gun
Computer systems (Windows-based)
