Job Title: Technical Services Manager - Baking

Job Description

The primary function of the Technical Services Manager is to identify and resolve application and service issues for clients in the baking industry. This role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for bakery equipment and processes.

  • Address customer inquiries and issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Perform maintenance and repair on bakery equipment, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

  • Train bakery staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.

  • Assist in testing new bakery products and equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain detailed records of services provided, including maintenance logs and customer interactions.

Essential Skills

  • 10 years of experience in bakery operations or technical services.

  • Strong technical skills in maintaining and repairing bakery equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food science, engineering, or a related field.

  • AIB (American Institute of Baking) certification.

  • Experience in industrial and commercial baking.

  • 10+ years in commercial/industrial bread and roll production.

  • Experience working from a floor supervisory position and promoted to production/plant manager.

  • AIB residence course or Kansas State baking science program graduate.

  • Sales experience.

  • Personable and charismatic personality.

  • Willingness to travel extensively.

  • Self-driven and confident.

Work Environment

This position requires 75% travel and the candidate must live close to a major airport. The role involves travel to commercial and industrial bakeries.
