Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a QA Manager for a leading food manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality, safe, and delicious products. The QA Manager will oversee the quality assurance operations within our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, complying with regulatory requirements, and continuously improving our quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Manage and lead the QA team, providing training and support to ensure high performance.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and R&D, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company’s compliance.

  • Prepare and present quality reports to leadership.

  • Oversee the management of quality documentation and records.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, FSMA, GMP).

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with internal audits and client audits.

  • Knowledge of document control processes.

  • Proficiency in quality assurance practices.

  • Understanding of HACCP and cGMP regulations.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a food manufacturing facility where adherence to safety and quality standards is paramount. The role requires regular audits and inspections, collaboration with multiple departments, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Dress code and specific safety attire are required to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
