Project Process EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead and manage multiple internal programs, oversee external vendor relationships, and drive the successful execution of greenfield facility construction projects. The Project Engineer will work with the team to identify process improvements for current production lines and collaborate with New Product Development to create processes and flows for future products.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple internal programs.
Oversee external vendor relationships and drive the successful execution of greenfield facility construction projects.
Identify process improvements for current production lines.
Collaborate with New Product Development to create processes and flows for future products.
Work with General Contractors to stay on budget and on time for facility moves.
Identify, select, move, and purchase new equipment for the new facility.
Ensure seamless integration of facility planning, equipment selection, and risk management processes.
Provide cross-functional collaboration and strategic planning to deliver high-impact solutions on schedule and within budget.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
10+ years of experience in program management, project engineering, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale construction projects, including vendor coordination and contract management.
Strong experience in both program management and engineering.
Technical expertise in new product development support and project management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in industries such as plastics, chemical-pharma, food and beverage, medical device, aerospace/defense, and automotive.
Experience with extrusion processes.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Work Environment
Our client is a military-owned manufacturer of railroad ties located in north St. Louis. They take domestically recycled plastics and turn them into composite railroad ties, saving around 20 million lbs of plastics from entering landfills each year. They are one of two suppliers for class 1 railroads and are known for their economic and sustainable options. The facility operates in a secure and guarded business park. The dress code is business casual. The team consists of 40 employees and is currently expanding to run 24/7 to meet demand goals. This is a non-union facility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00/hr.
