Summary

This position is the principal contributor to the development and implementation of pricing strategies for multiple hotel clusters.  The manager leads revenue impacting initiatives across multiple departments, deploys initiatives across the organization, analyzes complex data and communicates analytics at an executive level.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Completes and provides analysis of hotel and market trends, STR performance, mix of business, and business cases to all hotel and market stakeholders.  Measures the impact of previous decisions and integrates results into future analysis.

  • Evaluates and responds to corporate, group sales, and marketing requests; uses data to provide pricing and inventory guidance that maximizes chain selling and aligns with brand pricing, yielding, and contract philosophies.

  • Communicates effectively using data analysis and presents at an executive level in cross-organizational meetings to make recommendations.  Engages Operations, Sales, and Marketing in a collaborative and constructive manner to the benefit of the entire brand.

  • Proactively develops new processes or enhances existing tools to continually improve the overall organizational ability to optimize revenue decisions.

Qualifications

  • Requires solid knowledge of revenue management strategies, philosophies, protocols, principles and practices.

  • Must possess analytical and conceptual thinking skills and be comfortable analyzing data, with the aptitude to perform numerical analysis, and to formulate conclusions and solutions from that data.

  • Professional, poised, confident communicator who can effectively present information and respond to questions from internal customers throughout all levels of the organization.

  • Proficient in the use of internet software and office tools.  Must be able to build executive level presentations and high-level updates to all stakeholders.

  • Ability to learn and achieve expertise in utilizing third party business intelligence systems and multiple brand systems (i.e. PMS, CRS, RMS, etc.) is required.

  • Attention to detail is critical. Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.

  • Natural inquisitiveness to exploring data and looking for insights to drive business decisions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years Revenue Management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.  Experience handling multiple locations is preferred.

  • Expert Excel skills.
