TAD PGS, Inc. Maintenance Utility Associate in Saint Louis, Missouri
We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aMaintenance Utility Associateto join a leading Company located in theSaint Louis, MOsurrounding area.
Maintenance Utility Person encompasses the facilities management, planning, coordination, maintenance, and associated operations involving equipment, grounds, and structures. Follow specific instructions to perform less complex activities for the Operations organization and provide assistance to coordinators. The Utility Person will be trained on all aspects of the job assignment. The supervisor will go over Job Safety Analysis sheets, Safety checklist, PPE (personal protective equipment), and instructions on daily clean-up.
Responsibilities :
Safety Sleeves and Cut Resistant Gloves or Leather Gloves must be worn at all times when working with coils and handling material.
Must follow all work instructions and possess the following skills after they have been through a reasonable training period.
Material Handler/stack parts, hang coils, take care of pick n places, fill oil
Cleaning and wiping out dust from equipment facilities as instructed.
Scrubbing the floor with company equipment.
Marking and Painting Lines and keeping all production equipment clean.
The Maintenance Utility Person must be able to perform these functions safely, without compromising their own or coworkers' safety.
The Utility person must be able to perform these tasks for a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.
If an employee cannot perform these essential functions it is their responsibility to bring this to the attention of their supervisor, manager, or Human Resource Manager; in these situations, we will discuss and attempt to provide any reasonable accommodations that may be available.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Maintenance Utility must be able to understand and follow all safety policies, safety training, and hazard communication information ; This includes, but is not limited to, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
Lift and or carry up to 50 pounds.
Frequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend, along with occasionally reaching above shoulder level and pulling.
Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time .
Possess the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to utilize various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete a variety of complex tasks.
Equipment includes but is not limited to: electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, pneumatic staplers, hydraulic lift tables, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and controls with knobs and buttons.
Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Ability to read, write, and use a calculator.
Must be able to read and comprehend work orders.
Ability to maintain regular work attendance, including arriving at work on time and remaining at work until the end of the scheduled workday.
