Title: Hiring Passionate Legal Assistant and Paralegal in A Vibrant St. Louis Law Firm

  1. Legal Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and initial case assessments.

  • Directly report and assist our attorneys.

  • Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents.

  • Secure affidavits, maintaining document control, and maintaining case correspondence.

  • Liaison with trial team to ensure seamless legal case management and client service.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Law, or associated field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Proficient understanding of legal language and principles, including court proceedings.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Efficient, organized, detail-oriented work ethic.

  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols.

  1. Paralegal

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation matters.

  • Conduct factual and legal research.

  • Draft legal documents such as depositions and pleadings.

  • Maintaining contact with clients.

  • Organizing, summarizing, and indexing documents and evidence.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal certification or degree.

  • Profound knowledge of legal terminologies and principles.

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle demanding workloads and remain calm under pressure.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal

• Proficiency in using Aderant case management software

• Familiarity with CompuLaw for legal calendaring and matter management

• Ability to handle billing functions accurately and efficiently

• Experience in briefing and preparing legal documents for litigation

• Excellent calendar management skills to keep track of court dates, deadlines, and meetings

• Knowledge and experience in civil litigation processes and procedures

• Experience in handling cases related to personal injury law

• Proven track record in personal injury litigation

• Experience in representing personal injury plaintiffs

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent research and analytical skills

• Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is preferred

• Paralegal certification is a plus.
