Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical and controls design plans, creating and updating design drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for remote work on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed electrical and controls design plans, including schematics, I/O modules, drives, PLCs, and motor controls.

  • Create and update 2D and 3D design drawings using AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

  • Design and integrate control systems, instrumentation, and industrial networking solutions.

  • Prepare comprehensive designs for IFB and IFC packages for greenfield projects.

  • Ensure all design documents meet project specifications and industry standards.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to support process and packaging requirements.

  • Provide design expertise without requiring extensive guidance from engineering.

  • Ensure designs comply with GMP/FDA regulations and other relevant standards.

  • Maintain adherence to safety and quality protocols throughout the design process.

  • Prepare detailed documentation, including line diagrams, cable sizing, and motor control specifications.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to the project team.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical and controls design, with a preference for greenfield project experience.

  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

  • Strong understanding of controls, instrumentation, and industrial networking.

  • Experience with Rockwell products and remote I/O systems.

  • Fundamental knowledge of power systems, including line diagrams and cable sizing.

  • Familiarity with GMP/FDA regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and provide high-quality design solutions without extensive oversight.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CAPEX experience

  • Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects

Work Environment

The work environment consists of 40 hours per week with in-office work from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Fridays. No site travel is required. The initial duration of the role is 4 months, with the possibility of extension.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
