Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Overview:

Primarily responsible for execution or facilitation of payment processes and controls for the teams' Expenditure Management varied functions. Requires a broad skillset for firm, accounting, and analytical knowledge. Responsible for entry, upload, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of expense entries, and system jobs impacting payment and allocation of firm's AP and branch expense. The audit and review of work completed by others. Run daily system and payment jobs to successful completion.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payment requests, perform expense accounting entries and spreadsheet uploads in accordance with our firm policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Process, reconcile, resolve, and review general ledger accounts and transactions.

  • Analyze, document, and actively participate in department projects to improve business processes and create capacity and efficiency to accommodate for firm growth.

  • Prepare, summarize, and present firm financial reports and analysis to team and department leaders to facilitate decision making.

  • Display partnership and teamwork, while developing business relationships to accomplish department functions and to provide excellent service to service receivers. May include leading or managing vendor relationships to establish processes, achieve SLAs and deliverables.

  • Training, development, and assistance of other members of the team related to the team's responsibilities, displaying thought leadership and indirect leadership for team members.

  • Proactively identify and research risk issues, formulate control recommendations, and play a key role in implementing solutions.

  • Handle Tier II service escalations, research, and provide solutions along with entries for corrective action and communication of resolution.

  • Audit supplier information, resolve errors, and assist the team with completing data governance work to support IRS 1099 & 1042 reporting.

  • Engage in system design, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting, providing analytical solutions for systems and monthly processes to ensure functional business area requirements are met.

Hiring Minimum: $59886

Hiring Maximum: $98752

Skills/Requirements

What You Will Need:

  • 2-3 years of experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or accounting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, Outlook)

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with an ability to retrieve and analyze data from multiple sources.

  • General knowledge of accounting practices and principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in One Stream

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills

Please note: Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
