[JOB SUMMARY [The Admissions Specialist for the School of Medicine (SOM) helps the Admissions office with the process of selection and recruitment of qualified candidates for medical school. This position works closely with the Admissions Committee to keep the admissions cycle running smoothly and ensure decisions are sent to applicants in a timely manner. The position also works closely with applicants by answering complex admissions questions and scheduling medical school interviews. Additionally, the Admission Specialist will evaluate both the Committee process and the applicant experience through survey tools and analysis.

Leads admissions processes including assigning applicants to screeners using established standards and guidelines, ensuring interview reports are received, prioritizing applicants for weekly subcommittee ranking, recording and assigning decisions after subcommittee review and recording applicant withdrawals in real-time
