Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager based in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role is in the Wholesale Distribution industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with managing a variety of accounting functions, from handling payroll and journal entries to account reconciliations. You'll also work closely with the AP/AR department and be a key player in the end-of-month closing process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of payroll and journal entries in a timely and accurate manner

• Carry out account reconciliations with a particular focus on handling 8 different bank accounts

• Collaborate closely with the AP/AR department to ensure smooth financial operations

• Prepare monthly financial statements to provide an accurate representation of the company's financial position

• Ensure the ERP system is effectively utilized for the consolidation of financial information from 8 different entities

• Contribute to the close cycle, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed by the 12th business day of the month

• Use Tier 2 Excel skills to maintain and analyze financial data

• Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline accounting processes

• Perform auditing activities to ensure the accuracy of financial information

• Oversee billing functions to ensure all invoices are issued and paid on time. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is key

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary

• Experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prior experience in Auditing is required

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential

• Ability to manage Month End Close activities is needed

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is important

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are desirable

• A proactive approach to work and the ability to work independently

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• A team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry is an asset

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
