The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Engineering Configuration Management Specialist to perform a variety of activities in support of the Weapons Software team’s software engineering efforts located in St. Charles, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The Weapons Software team is part of the Missiles and Weapons division of Boeing Defense Space & Security and produces operational flight software for multiple direct attack munitions and over-the-horizon cruise missiles.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Change Control Board (CCB) process, ensuring that all proposed changes to the software system are reviewed, documented, and approved prior to implementation.

• Facilitate regular CCB meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and ensuring that action items are followed up on.

• Oversee the Software Engineering (SWE) build release process, ensuring timely, efficient, and error-free software builds and deployments.

• Coordinate with developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute software builds and releases.

• Monitor build processes, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement improvements to optimize release cycles.

• Manage version control tools, repositories, and deployment pipelines to ensure consistency and accuracy of software releases.

• Oversee the configuration of build environments, repositories, and related tools to support smooth deployment and release activities

• Provide support for resolving issues related to configuration changes, environment inconsistencies, or release failures.

• Work cross-functionally with development, testing, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth coordination of build and release schedules.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications: (Required Skills/ Experience)

• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience leading a team, formally or informally

• Familiarity with Atlassian Products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc)

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

• Security+ certification

• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Jira, Git)

• Experience with SharePoint or other Wiki tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel: 10%

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate Level: $85,000 - $115,000
