Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our new product development group. The successful candidate will work closely under the guidance of a Senior Engineer to develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products. This role involves designing, evaluating, and selecting components and materials to improve the reliability, robustness, and quality of designs. The position requires hands-on 3D CAD design skills and involves a mix of development work and engineering support duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products.

• Evaluate and select components and materials to improve product reliability, robustness, and quality.

• Create and maintain necessary documentation for product development and manufacturing.

• Run lab experiments and testing, document, and analyze results.

• Design industrial equipment and work on new product development.

Essential Skills

• BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering)

• Hands-on 3D CAD design skills with 7-20 years of experience

• Experience designing industrial equipment

• Ability to run lab experiments and testing, and document and analyze results

• Good understanding of DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Inventor or Creo preferred

• Custom Automation experience is a plus

• FEA hands-on knowledge is a plus

• Motion systems control knowledge is a plus

• Familiarity with material science principles is a plus

• Hands-on skills, such as fixing things or working on cars, are preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
