SUMMARY
The success-oriented Program Manager will be a strategic project-management professional whose job is to help oversee and coordinate the various projects, products, and other strategic initiatives across an organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, extensive experience in establishing governance frameworks, and a deep understanding of industry standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex projects, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement in governance practices. This includes, but is not limited to identification, monitoring and control of key programs, managing the interdependence between projects within each program, as well as tracking the contribution of each project and ensuring the successful outcome to customer requirements.
This position is in our Saginaw, Michigan facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance Framework Development:
Assess the current governance framework and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational objectives.
Establish program governance and quality standards appropriate to the program and in accordance with the program sponsor.
Program Management:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate effectively with senior management, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment and support for governance initiatives.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Solicit feedback from team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts on practices employed; respond to identified issues and concerns.
Quality Assurance and Control:
Oversee program conformance to established governance standards and quality assurance processes.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
Ensure that deliverables are measured against established standards and quality benchmarks.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide clear direction, set performance standards, and offer regular feedback and recognition to team members.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Internal Relationships:
Reports to Saginaw, Program Executive
No Direct Reports
Interacts with Materials, Planning, Quality, Process Innovation Leader, Sales/Customer Service, EHS, Engineering and Finance functional groups to effectively manage the program(s).
Interacts with Corporate professionals to share best practices and collaborate on various initiatives.
External Relationships:
Interacts with customers
Interacts with subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 5 years’ minimum experience with program/project management in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or engineering or equivalent experience required
Strong knowledge of aerospace and defense manufacturing industry standards, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
PMP Certification is a plus
Excellent verbal, communication, and organization skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to “Roll up the sleeves” to achieve the goal whenever necessary
Working knowledge of AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
Familiar with Dynamics 365 preferable or like operating system

This position is in a standard manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical equipment. The noise levels are frequently moderate to loud. Safety glasses and safety shoes (steel toed) are required throughout the shop floor. Hearing protection is recommended in certain areas.
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb/balance/kneel, reach, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, with assistance. Employees will be required to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. Specific vision required include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, focus adjustment.
