The main focus of the Managing Director of Client Service is to provide direction to the Employee Benefits team, ensuring clients are receiving the highest level of service, strategy and advocacy. From the client perspective, the role includes ensuring consistent deliverables such as service calendars and MMA value proposition are introduced in a consistent and accountable manner. Additional management duties include, account assignment, meeting regional retention goals, assist with new business, promote account rounding and cross sell opportunities. From a people management perspective, the Director of Client Service will support colleagues through the colleague life cycle from recruitment to professional development to creating an environment of inclusion and motivation in a hybrid work environment. * Directly manage and oversee the entire large group service team; support EH&B President in all efforts of leading the service practice * Guide, mentor, coach and develop new hires, existing consultant team and managers; drive team engagement, MMA resources and carrier partnerships * Manage performance initiatives, delivering timely formal reviews and providing on-going informal feedback to team * Input on budgeting for staffing, promotions and service team resources * Liaison for producers and consultants to ensure teams work smoothly and efficiently together * Oversee books of business and lead client assignments * Lead the strategic innovation process and development of our EH&B Staff; coordinate training and development opportunities for entire service team, including management staff * Lead the efforts in creating consistent workflows/templates/service model across large group EH&B for growth and retention * Increase utilization with outsourced vendors * Leverage timesaving tools * Implement retention model and guidelines * Consistent compliance training * Lead the efforts in driving positive culture and maintain MMA's core values * Play prominent role in the growth of EH&B from a thought leadership perspective * Maintain and foster carrier relationships, assist in escalated service issues and hold carriers accountable * Ensure service team is in the know of all carriers and their product updatesWhat you need to qualify for this job: * Previous people management experience; managing team of more than 10 direct reports * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Employee Benefits Insurance Industry * Experience with fully insured and self-funded Health Management and Wellness Plans * Active Life & Health license * Strong aptitude in math * Effective oral and written communication including presentation skills to C-Level professionals. * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPointWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
