Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medicare Biller in Sacramento, California. The role is within the non-profit industry and involves working with healthcare reimbursement and Medicare billing. The primary responsibilities include processing and reviewing Medicare claims, maintaining confidentiality of patient records, and ensuring all billing procedures adhere to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process data entries associated with Medicare billing

• Review and submit claims to Medicare while addressing any billing issues that arise

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines

• Ensure all Medicare billing claims are submitted within specified deadlines

• Address patient inquiries regarding their Medicare coverage and resolve any billing issues

• Regularly review and update patient records to ensure accurate information

• Identify and rectify any billing errors or discrepancies

• Collaborate effectively with the medical team to ensure accuracy of patient records

• Stay updated with the latest changes in Medicare regulations

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with billing procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Appeals and Authorizations

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Billing

• Familiarity with HealthCare Reimbursement

• Previous experience in a non-profit environment is advantageous

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
