Xylem Senior Field Service Technician in Sacramento, California

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elite/Lead Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in troubleshooting RO and DI water treatment systems, a deep understanding of Process Operations, PLC programming, and excellent customer interaction skills. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment systems at customer sites, along with providing technical support, training, and sales support to both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot advanced RO and DI systems at customer sites.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on water treatment systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to water treatment systems, including RO's, Deionization systems, and PLC programming control systems.

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure satisfaction with our products and services.

  • Provide customer sales support, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proposal preparation as needed.

  • Train customers and internal teams on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RO systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, expenses, and inventory.

  • Act as a technical leader within the team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior technicians.

  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and self-study to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the branch.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Field Service Technician with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing RO systems.

  • Strong understanding of Process Operations, PLC programming, and control systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Experience in customer sales support and technical training preferred.

  • Leadership experience or qualities, with the ability to mentor and lead a team of technicians.

  • Electrical experience and knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.

  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently in various customer environments.

Salary range:

$60,000.00 - $96,000.00
