Leidos AFLCMC Senior Test and Quality Assurance Engineer in Sacramento, California

Description

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Sr. Test and Quality Assurance Engineer onsite in Sacramento, CA with potential partial telework options.

Must have active TS/SCI clearance

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), U-2 System Project Office (SPO) address mission critical requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Test and Quality Assurance Engineer will work with SPO, OEM, developmental test (DT), operational test (OT) and other mission partners to ensure integration, test, and evaluation of new or modified avionics, payloads, and sensors to the U-2 Dragon Lady at Government direction.

The Test and Quality Assurance Engineer will:

  • Collaborate with assigned Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to develop the data management plan and overall quality control plan fortestdata for eachtestor demo.

  • Provide input into bothtestingand evaluation planning and reporting documents in accordance with OperationalTestCommand’s (OTC’s) responsibilities.

  • Conduct background research with the IPT to determine testability of Critical Operational Issues and Criteria (COIC). Tasking will include:

  • Reviewof testmethodologies for overalltestdesign and for specific issue, criterion, and measure of performance requirements.

  • Research and written reporting of background material for systems concepts beingtested.

  • Preparation of material for submission to the appropriate organizations to obtain approval to enter intotestingactivities.

  • Analyze and evaluate all aspects of the test plan to include:

  • Identifytestsupport requirements (funds, facilities, personnel, etc.); determine supplies, equipment, and other materials required; and prepare input to IPT for development of cost estimates for thetest.

  • Finalize theTestPlan (TP) which tasks theTestOrganizations and other elements for support.

  • Ensure test members are trained intestdesign and data collection, reduction, and quality control techniques, as needed.

  • Conduct quality assurance data scrubs/reviews to ensure data collection and reduction procedures are understood and properly adhered to.

  • Ensure Master Event List (MEL) or scenario is followed as closely as possible, making adjustments as circumstances require.

  • Ensure data collection plan is followed as designed and maintainTestLog.

  • Develop accurate and comprehensivetestreporting documents for thetest

  • Conduct review and analysis of the collected data with the assigned IPT and finalize the report.

  • Work with othertestteam personnel to developtestteam observations and limitations providing information ontestexecution.

  • Prepare briefing documents such as background reports, memoranda, and audio-visual aids to inform or gain approval of thetestand evaluation program.

  • Respond to inquiries from other organizations to provide information about problem areas in assignedtests/projects

  • Plan, conduct, or participate in work group meetings related to assignedtestsor experiments.

Basic Qualifications

  • A BS degree and 12 to 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience working on military aircraft avionics systems, subsystems and required support systems or equipment highly desired.

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the project.

  • An in-depth understanding of technical testing and quality assurance principles, theories, concepts and their application across range of programs.

  • Ability to lead and manage works of other technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in U.S. Air Force test processes desired.

  • Experience with AFLCMC U-2 System Project Office (SPO).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
