Description

Our client, an equity real estate investment trust, is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Paralegal in RYE, NY to join their team full time.

Responsibilities will include (among others):

• Organizing and facilitating closings, including drafting and reviewing various closing documents, assignments, consents, and certificates.

• Preparing, reviewing and distributing tenant estoppels, confidentiality agreements, organizational documents and secretary certificates.

• Working to support us on transactions, sales, acquisitions, financings, helping with the Title and survey process, working on organizational documents, operating agreements, resolutions, consents, confidentiality agreements, etc.

• Coordinating receipt/review of title commitments/policies and surveys and assisting in resolution of title and survey issues.

• Reviewing due diligence materials and managing post-closing matters.

• Handling various public company and operational matters for the company and a limited amount of administrative support for the group.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 4-5+ years’ experience; transactional real estate work required.

• Ability to work collaboratively with all departments in the company and to think strategically and take ownership of projects.

• Excellent organization skills with the ability to be proactive and prioritize in an effective manner to meet deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail, judgment, follow through with initiative and dependability.

• Superior communication skills – verbal and written with a high level of professionalism. Position will require an individual with ability to handle confidential information.

• Flexibility with their hours – staying later due to closings and deadlines.
