Job Description

Perform installations of basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Running rigid (1.5 inch) pipe down to gear box

• Wiring 3 way switches

• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans

• Installing and mounting electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components

• Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices

• Working with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up 480V

• Installing conduit, wireways, pulling wiring/cables and terminating cables

• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and control wiring diagrams

Essential Skills

• 1-4 years of electrical experience

• Experience in commercial electrical work

• Experience with conduit bending and installation

• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and control wiring diagrams

• Experience wiring 480 volts systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year apprentice electrician (not necessarily in an apprenticeship program)

• 2 full years of experience considered

• Experience bending and installing rigid 1.5 inch pipe

• Ability to perform modifications as needed

• Required Tool List: Screwdriver Set (Phillips and Flathead), Channel Locks (2 pair), Side Cutter Pliers/Diagonal Pliers, Socket set and wrenches (3/8” preferred), Hot Stick/Voltage Detector, Steel the person
