Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas Tube Business (BATB) is currently taking applications for a Part-Time college student to work in our Plant Engineering Department. Applicant must have a desire to learn our manufacturing business and will be provided training to assist them in meeting the requirements of this position. Work schedule is flexible to allow the Intern to meet their collegiate activities. Some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Engineering and Maintenance Departments with day-to-day activities

  • Data collection

  • Calibration of equipment

  • Analyze Auto Cad drawings

  • Research new equipment and parts

  • Creation of spreadsheets and entering data

  • Preparation of departmental reports

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational

Required: Second or Third year of college in an engineering discipline

Desired: Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or Computer Engineering major

Work Experience

Required: History of any structured work, whether school participation or outside work

Desired: Manufacturing

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree
