Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Echo Vascular Technologist, you will perform diagnostic testing on both inpatient and outpatient to include 2 D/M-Moded to cardiac Doppler, stress echo, pharmacologic echo/nuclear studies, contrast echo’s, cardiac stress testing, TEE’s, ECG’s and Holter monitoring/scanning.

• You will possess a clear knowledge/understanding of the responsibilities and tasks you must perform specific to the department

• You will assess patient conditions prior to and during all exams

• You will maintain professional development

• You will demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and/or customer service abilities

Experience

• Minimum two years of clinical diagnostic cardiopulmonary experience

• Three years of clinical diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluation experience – preferred

Education

• Bachelor in Science degree – preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) as per St. David’s HealthCare policy

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) – preferred

• Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – preferred

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS – preferred

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS – preferred
