Job Summary:

St. David's Healthcare seeks a full-time physician assistant or acute care nurse practitioner to join cardiology group in Round Rock, TX.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified physician assistant or acute care nurse practitioner

• Preferred minimum of 1 year or more cardio experience (NP or PA)

• Active TX license

• Perform patient examinations in clinic and hospital setting

• Occasional weekend rounding with physician in the ICU units at SDMC

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be confident in ability to make medical decisions

• Candidate should have excellent people skills as well as outstanding communication skills

• Ability to educate patients effectively and demonstrate expertise in their field

• M-F, 8A – 5P

• On-call: Estimate one per quarter

• 2-3 days/week must travel to Austin for clinic and rounding

• Hospital rounding at Round Rock Medical Center
