Overview Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Test Engineer to work at our Roseville, MN location. This job is onsite Monday-Friday. Position Summary: The Test Engineer position with work closely with Application and Product Development Engineering groups to ensure testing meets the requirements of the test request. This role will help to define new testing methodologies and procedures as needed or to support new programs. This position will have responsibility of test request procedure, file structures and data integrity. This may include developing and maintaining a corporate database of test data. Individual will also be responsible for test protocols in all Horton Engineering test locations. Responsibilities Test Engineer Responsibilities: * Evaluates in-coming test requests for clarity, completeness and determines if testing is possible with equipment / systems in-place. * Develops methodologies and or sources equipment when requests exceed capabilities. * Works with internal customers to determine the best means of achieving results or providing guidance to help gather the information desired from the test plan. * Works to revise the test request process, data retention, lab scope and determines the best means for managing these factors. * Evaluates new technologies and test methods to determine their effectiveness in uncovering weaknesses in existing or proposed designs. Qualifications Test Engineer Qualifications: * Requires a 4-year Engineering degree. * Good communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite. * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude are paramount * Familiarity with PLC's and C-programming is desired. * Familiarity with data acquisition and controls experience is desired. * Experience with CAD, GDT, FEA, Reliability Testing and Design of Experiments is preferred. * Previous job experience in a test environment is preferred.
