The Facility Engineering Manager will manage a staff of engineers, technicians and other personnel who are responsible for providing engineering services (maintaining equipment, facilities and supplies) which enables the production team and other functions to deliver the requested outputs. This position will ensure all the activities are in line with rules and regulations regarding Environmental Impact, Safety, Health, Dangerous Goods Management, Fire and Emergency readiness, and Business Continuity Plan. Responsibilities: Manage the Facility Engineering, Maintenance, and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) personnel, programs, and projects. Manage facility related service contracts and providers (i.e. cleaning, pest control, waste, etc.) Manage department resources to ensure maintenance, repairs, on-call response plans, and other work are completed on time and to the appropriate standards. Develop and manage resource and budget plans to support company objectives. Recruit, train, coach, and motivate personnel to meet company goals and objectives. Develop and maintain departmental procedures and policies, including emergency and on-call response policies. Contribute to facility and EHS related master planning. Lead facility capital projects, including documentation and processes to support procurement activities (i.e. requests for proposal, service provider walk-throughs, proposal evaluation and recommendations, etc.) Contribute to programs and activities related to site EHS, business continuity/emergency response plans and site directives. Support all functional areas to ensure adherence to production plans, timely resolution of quality issues, and compliance with rules and regulations. Monitor and report performance status updates on established key performance indicators (KPI) Engage with Global Tech Ops counterparts in facilities and EHS. Adhere to the Ferring philosophy. Requirements: Degree(s), preferably in Engineering or related field 5+ years management experience FDA, GMP or other regulated industry experience, Pharma preferred. Knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and requirements (i.e. OSHA, DEA, CDC, MPCA, etc.) Required Competencies: Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Experience with ISO cleanrooms and associated requirements Effective project management experience with ability to follow through. Team player, proactive, results oriented and keen on working in cross cultural environment. Good communication skills, open minded Ability to build relationships, to negotiate and influence, and manage change in a matrix environment. Ability to understand, motivate, and develop people. Our Compensation and Benefits At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $125,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance. Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, 40 hours of sick time, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 150 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 187.50 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
