Henry Ford Health System Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Electrophysiology in Roseville, Michigan
Ascension Medical Group is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Ascension Medical Group Heart Rhythm Institute.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide cardiology electrophysiology services for patients at Ascension Heart Rhythm Institute in Roseville, Michigan and St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
Position Highlights:
Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and hospital rounding hours are from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (hours may vary based on need).
Works in conjunction with the physician (s) to provide a plan of care, management and treatment for cardiology patients.
Duties include new patient consults, ED consults, CVICU consults and coverage for known practice patient admissions at Ascension St. John Hospital. Includes independent clinic patient encounters for routine follow-up visits, acute visits, and hospital follow-ups at Roseville office.
Position entails rotating coverage at the ambulatory clinic practice in Roseville and hospital rounding at Ascension St. John Hospital with one other practice-based APP. May be asked to help cover at St. Clair Shores clinic practice and Ascension Macomb Hospital in Warren on occasion.
Educate patients and family members on cardiology testing and procedures.
Works independently to field and manage calls, questions and concerns of nursing support staff and other physicians related to the care of hospital admission patients.
Office ancillaries include EKG and device checks.
Room for growth and development in a more independent-practitioner care model.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
1-2 years of prior experience in Cardiology Electrophysiology preferred.
