SUPERVISES:

There are no direct reports with this position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Dispatcher, Workforce Inclusion monitors and manages driver routes and performs a variety of communication duties in support of drivers and customers. Employees in this job are responsible for communication with drivers, call centers, and customers while overseeing driver logs and routes. This job class requires knowledge of driving routes and driver logs, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and organizing and managing competing priorities.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. *Communicates with drivers, call center staff, supervisors, and customers using a variety of methods.

  2. *Oversees and manages driver logs, manifests, and driver routes.

  3. *Coordinates emergency response involving accidents or incidents with drivers, vehicles, or passengers.

  4. *Operates transit passenger vehicles on designated route(s).

  5. Performs duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Two or more years of work experience in a transportation environment.

•Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software.

•Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written.

•Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with staff and customers.

•Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:

The following licenses or certificates may berequired depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:

CPR/First Aid

Dept of Trans Medical

Valid CDL w/PAX ED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

•Viewing computer screen/monitor

•Keyboarding

•Making and receiving calls

•Driving and training in vehicles

•Reaching with hands and arms, using legs/feet to reach handle controls, bending, and twisting at the waist, and climbing stairs

•Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office environment or in vehicles while driving and training in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
