A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Monitor and ingest internal and external threat reports, feeds, alerts, and additional sources to maintain subject matter expertise on the latest adversary campaigns and tactics

  • Regularly develop and deliver intelligence briefings and reports to cross-cyber functions, leadership, and other business units.

  • Aid in the build-out and continued operationalization of our Threat Intelligence Platform

  • Aid in the capability and process of leveraging analytic techniques to characterize and link suspicious SCE network traffic to external malicious indicators.

  • Contribute to other various cyber threat intelligence program functions

The essentials

  • Five (5) years of cybersecurity experience

  • Two (2) years in a cyber threat intelligence function

  • Experience developing and providing technical cybersecurity briefings and reports

  • Experience in incident response, threat hunting, and/or other SOC functions.

The preferred

  • Adversary infrastructure link analysis leveraging tools such as maltego or similar

  • Operating a functional threat intelligence platform

  • Experience with advanced intelligence and structured analytic techniques

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate office locations.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

  • US Citizenship required as part of Critical Infrastructure security protocols.

  • Relocation may apply to this position.
