QUALITY ENGINEER ROSCOMMON, MI - ROSCOMMON PLANT
As a member of the Quality team, the Customer Quality Engineer will be responsible forleading the customer response system; directs customer interface for all quality customer plant performance concerns, along with internal concerns, to ensures that all concerns are effectively managed. IATF16949, APQP, PPAP's and continuous improvement measures.
The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: Acts as the primary interface between customer and the Manufacturing Plant, proactively engaging at the customer site as required or as necessary. Function internally as expert on customer specific requirements relative to product, process, & expectations for quality related items. Communicate regularly with customer quality organization to keep the customer view of quality performance up to date. Perform IATF16949 internal auditing and maintenance of quality systems. Address production floor issues as requested. Complete special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager. Recommend, plan, and participate in continuous improvement activities throughout the organization. Complete training in quality subjects as assigned. Utilize 8D problem solving processes accordingly. Utilize PPAP's and all associated documentation. Perform assigned functions described in Policies, Procedures and Quality Manual. Follow systems for IATF16949 and ISO14001.
Your Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution. Expert in problem solving and analytical skills using 8D methodology. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Programs. Certified IATF Lead Auditor and knowledge of SAP. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a tram-oriented environment.
