MAT Holdings, Inc Warehouse Outbound Clerk 1st shift in Romeoville, Illinois

We are currently hiring a Warehouse Outbound Clerk for the first shift at our Romeoville, IL distribution center. The pay rate is $20.00/hour. The hours for the first Shift are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime pay.

The primary function is to receive incoming materials, perform the necessary computer transactions, and ensure an orderly and timely movement of parts from receipt to shipment to the customer. 2024 

  • Manage customer accounts to ship material in a timely manner

  • Create shipping documents such as Bills of Lading and shipping labels using SAP

  • Type routine correspondence with transportation, dispatch, and internal contacts

  • Maintain daily changes to account shipping schedules

  • Answer telephone calls in a timely manner, direct calls, and take messages

  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate offices

  • Perform routine clerical functions such as logging, recording, and filing as assigned

  • Document all appropriate information promptly and clearly

  • Operate self-sufficiently and desire to learn new processes

  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school graduate

  • Experience working in a warehouse

  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form 

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Ability to communicate with carriers via the telephone

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts

  • Computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite

  • Dotcom or E-commerce experience is a plus

  • SAP experience is a plus
