Truck Driver DAY SHIFT - FULL TIME. MUST have current CDL Class B with air brakes. We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class B Air Pneumatic Truck Driver to join our transportation team. As a Class B Air Pneumatic Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a truck equipped with air pneumatic systems to transport materials and goods. Your expertise in driving commercial vehicles and knowledge of air pneumatic equipment will contribute to the smooth and timely delivery of our products.Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class B commercial truck equipped with air pneumatic systems to transport materials and goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck and pneumatic equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Secure cargo using appropriate strapping, tie-downs, or other securing methods to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
  • Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and legal transportation operations.
  • Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to receive delivery instructions, updates, or changes in the schedule.
  • Plan routes using maps or GPS systems to determine the most efficient and time-effective routes for deliveries.
  • Operate pneumatic systems on the truck, including compressors, hoses, valves, and tanks, to load and unload materials or goods.
  • Monitor air pressure and pneumatic system operation to ensure optimal performance and address any malfunctions or abnormalities.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation, such as receipts or delivery confirmations.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules and report any mechanical issues or concerns with the truck or pneumatic equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class B commercial driver's license with air brake and pneumatic endorsements.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience operating vehicles equipped with air pneumatic systems. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past 10 years.
  • Knowledge of air pneumatic systems, including compressors, hoses, valves, and tanks.
  • Familiarity with pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance tasks for commercial trucks. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet delivery schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Good communication skills to interact professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients.

be able to properly load and unload a stake body truck loaded with sheet, plate and structural shapes.  Must be able to bind load to bed of truck and balance load so as to pass MDOT weights and inspections. Duties may include grinding, spot welding, packaging and general shop duties. Must be able to lift 50#.  DRUG FREE/SMOKE FREE workplace. Pre-employment physical/drug screening required.
