Production Supervisor:Roles and responsibilities for the production Supervisor are to work with the manager(s) of production in making sure quality parts are manufactured in a lean environment.

Responsibilities;

• Assure the quality of the process and parts
• Ensure start up checks,1st article checks, poky yoke verifications
• Maintain control of poky yoke parts and limit samples
• Take immediate action when NG parts are discovered and prevent NG parts from being shipped
• Meet the daily production targets
• Maintain production communication boards,plan vs actual
• Develop recovery plan if production quantity is not met
• Report production delays daily to manager
• Manage department manpower
• Manage department absence to maintain production
• Eliminate unplanned overtime (if occurs-develop countermeasures)
• Report associate loss and request replacement
• Control/approve associates working time for payroll
• Supervise the associates
• Ensure the associates are following NRI policies
• Teach the standard operations to the associates
• Maintain department ILU charts and proper cross training
• Share company information with associates during shift change meeting
• Collect production data (OEE)
• Ensure data is collected and reported correctly
• Maintain production communication boards
• Ensure data is entered daily as required and account for discrepencies
• Maintain/direct department 6s activity plan
• Ensure associates are completing daily 6s required activities
• Conduct Kaizen activities
• Develop countermeasure activities for production items not meeting the plan
• Working knowledge with electronic and hydraulics
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards,MS word and excel
• High school diploma/GED
