Georgia Northwestern Technical Administration Assistant for Economic Development PT PCC in Rome, Georgia

Job Summary: Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant to be located on the Polk County Campus and may be required to travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements. This position will report to the Director of Economic Development. This position is responsible for the daily functions of administration and implementation of various economic development program initiatives, including but not limited to, customized contract training and continuing education programs at GNTC. This position is not a supervisory role. This position will work a maximum of 29 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. There may be times when the position is asked to alter the days of the week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support such as answering telephones, monitoring department email account, processing transactions, ensuring project folders are complete and current, etc.;
  • Manages and maintains registrations and processes payments (credit card transactions);
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information;
  • Assisting the Director of Economic Development with coordinating the operations of assigned continuing education programs to ensure maximum operational efficiency on a continuous basis according to established procedures. This includes, but is not limited to preparing training manuals, ensuring materials, supplies, refreshments, and support needs are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Monitor supply levels and handle shortages;
  • Other duties assigned.
