Other Duties as Assigned 10% TOTAL 100% Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering Department for Rogers. This position will develop and improve manufacturing processes and systems; apply engineering principles to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment, or processes used in manufacturing productions; and evaluate work processes to determine strategies and programs that provide greater productivity and efficiency. This incumbent will be a strong communicator, leader, cross collaborator who keeps safety at the forefront of decisions. Key Responsibilities: Provide input to the manufacturing strategy including machine, tool, and process technologies and productivity to increase objectives. Responsible for the manufacturing engineering initiatives including transformation projects to increase productivity and lower costs, capital expenditure planning and implementation, and the successful production launch of new products. Determine feasibility of purchasing new plant equipment or modifying existing equipment/facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors. Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with outside suppliers on major equipment purchases ensuring installation is performed on time and equipment is functioning according to specifications and supplier provides instruction/training on the operation of new equipment. Lead and direct the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques and processes that affect long range factory operations and efficiency. Develop strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing processes. Advise senior management of new developments that may affect manufacturing processes, schedules, costs, and profit. Lead and direct the efforts of the manufacturing engineering staff to accomplish company improvement objectives. Keep up to date with production technology and solar module manufacturing industry trends. Minimum Qualifications: Four-year degree in Engineering with five (5) years related experience, as well as at least three (3) years of supervisor experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis tools) will be considered an asset Experience managing a team of engineers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proficiency in machinery and equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Manufacturing process control Robotics experience will be considered an asset Previous experience in CAD or Maintenance software will be considered a plus Ability to document and present failure analysis, continual improvement plans, and root cause analysis Experience with Power BI will be considered an asset Experience with ISO 9001 and/or 14001 will be considered an asset Experience with OSHA standards Analytical critical thinking skills to take a systematic approach to find the root cause and develop appropriate corrective action Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems, minimum: Word, Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all departments Ability to analyze, organize, prioritize, manage multiple projects Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation Background Check and Drug Screening prior to hire required This position is identified as a safety sensitive position Salary Range: $105,000 to $140,000 Annually Benefits: Employer paid employee medical & dental benefits o Co-pay for spouse/dependents Performance Incentive Life Insurance 401K match Paid PTO Paid sick days Paid personal days Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to careers@heliene.com no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 6, 2025 All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America.
