SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.

 JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Crops: Asparagus Harvesting of asparagus and field work supporting asparagus harvest, including weeding by hand while harvesting; weeding with hand hoe or other mechanical device; removing stones from asparagus row; destroying asparagus beetles and eggs on asparagus spears; routine cleaning and servicing of harvest carts; cleaning harvest lugs when necessary; palletizing harvested asparagus for transport to hydro-cooling shed. Farm, Field, and Shed Sanitation: All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and other farm, and shed sanitation duties. The farm owner/supervisor or a designated employee will provide specific instructions and close supervision. Workers will be expected to perform their duties in a timely and proficient manner and will have close supervision to insure adherence to instruction. Work will be closely monitored and reviewed for quality. GENERAL CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CROPS: Fieldwork begins at assigned time shortly after daylight.
