We are looking for a talented RMTC VPI Producibility Team Lead to join our team specializing in RMTC VPI Producibility Team Lead for our BUSINESS SEGMENT Rocky Mountain NC your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways

  • Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.

  • Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

  • Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.

  • Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.

  • Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.

  • Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

  • Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.

  • Industrial Engineering Knowledge - Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying a comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

  • Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

  • General Coaching Responsibilities 1 on 1’s Performance Reviews Time Provide all support tooling needed for builds

  • Designed tooling (crank lock, build stand adapters, valve compression) Purchased tooling (sockets, pliers, wrenches, etc.) DFA support Build Issues

  • Document issues discovered during build. Will communicate to Issues documentation person. Create step 3 solutions Communicate issues to program designers and escalate as needed. Set work prioritization for technicians Communicate lab capabilities to program teams

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $84,800-$127,200. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
